Creative England is dedicated to the growth of the creative industries. It invests in talented people and their creative ideas, nurturing our richly diverse games, TV, film and digital media industries. From direct investment and soft loans to business mentoring; it champions the best ideas of talented people and their businesses.
As a not-for-profit organisation it mobilises public and private resources to garner as much support and investment for the creative industries as possible. It works with a wide range of partners and investors from commercial brands and companies such as Google, Facebook and KPMG to local authorities, cultural bodies and universities, national government, and the European Commission.
Silicon South is a not for profit organisation whose aim is to enhance Dorset’s creative and digital economies, building on existing successes and strengths to create a thriving international hub, driving economic growth. In doing so, the aim is to help create 3,500 highly skilled jobs in the creative and digital sector by 2020. It is managed by a board of directors who are all very successful business people from the digital and creative sector and run by a small dedicated team.
Bournemouth had the fastest growing UK digital economy (Tech Nation Report 2015). It was voted in the Top 5 locations for digital entrepreneurs (Financial Times). The town has the UK’s largest pure fibre-to-the-home network, as well as the UK’s fastest consumer and business services (offering up to 1000 MB/s). Home to a population with an average age of 34, the town is building a new reputation as a destination where young talent can build their career and work on internationally acclaimed projects.

Junction K is a consultancy which specialises in helping organisations plan for growth, communicate their products more effectively, attract investment or improve sales, and set up and deliver project. It works with both creative digital companies, and public sector organisations that want to support the growth or innovativeness of such businesses. Junction K runs business support and accelerator programmes and provides the leadership for First Bourne.
WIRED is the Wellbeing Innovation & Research Engine for Dorset. Our mission is to lead collaboration across the clinical, academic, digital and life sciences sectors to accelerate the development of disruptive innovations to health and wellbeing in Dorset.
NHS Dorset Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) is the commissioning organisation for the whole county of Dorset. The group is a membership organisation, formed of all 100 local GP practices in the county. Our principal work is to plan, develop and buy health services, and our mission is to support the people of Dorset to lead healthier lives.
